About the Standard Poodle

What can I  say.  I was a person that didn't like poodles at all.  But was I wrong.   This is the only breed I would ever have now.  Douglas and Max as well as Poppy have stolen our hearts.   First thing that I would like to say is, They are totally misunderstood, and I wish I could educate people on how cool and awesome these dogs actually are.     This is just a little a description about them. The Standard Poodle has been ranked the second most intelligent breed, coming in just behind the Border Collie   Their coat is the lightest-shedding, most hypoallergenic of all coated breeds.  What’s more; they excel in advanced obedience training and crave mental stimulation to be happy.  Most Standard Poodles make great watch dogs but early socialization is important to avoid excessive watchfulness or timidity.  Combine all of this together and you get a wonderful family dog who is smart, fun and active.
