About the Bernese Mountain Dog
The Bernese Mountain Dog is a hard-working dog from the farmlands of Switzerland. Originally, they were intended for herding cattle and pulling carts while watching over their families. They live to please by devoting themselves to their owners and show nothing but unconditional love and loyalty. Because of their beautiful silky tricolored coat, they can also thrive in cold weather. These gentle giants are particularly good with children and maintain a cool yet distant dignity with strangers. If this doesn’t sound like the perfect pet, they are very intelligent and highly trainable while still maintaining a laid-back personality.
An average male can weight between 90-120 lbs and be around 26 inches in height while a female Berner can weigh between 70-100 lbs and be around 25 inches in height.
A well-trained Bernese Mountain Dog will make the best companion that will adore the whole family
